TransCanada's GlobalFest International Fireworks Competition - Grand Finale , August 23, 2003

My company, TransCanada, sponsored the First Annual GlobalFest International Fireworks competition this year. Chris, Jody, Mary Anne and I decided to take in the Grand Finale, the final night of fireworks, at Elliston Park in the SE part of Calgary.

The show was SPECTACULAR SPECTACULAR! Fireworks synchronized with music. Canada won the competition, and I can totally see why. Canada's fireworks were PERFECTLY synchronized with some very familiar pop music, whereas the Mexican and American shows had non-rhythmic soundtracks that were not easily synchronized to. They didn't have clear rhythms & drum beats like the Canadian's pop music soundtrack did. And it paid off.
