2005.12.04 - 2005 Teddy Bear Toss

It was a record Sunday for the Calgary Hitmen 11th annual Petro-Canada Teddy Bear Toss. Not only did the Hitmen beat Moose Jaw 5-1, but in the process fans tossed 13,650 bears on the ice. That breaks the CHL record of 13,156 set last season by the Hitmen.

Brodie Dupont scored the Teddy Bear goal at 8:29 of the first period. The game was played in front 14,662 fans, the largest Hitmen crowd this season

Bears collected are now being distributed among several local charities including Toy Mountain, Alberta Children’s Hospital and the Salvation Army.
